  Parking area is nice, enough comfortable seats. But it is more like studying in a child care rather than library....(i wish i could post the sound of screamming kids right now)

  Going back to positives, the coffee shop is a good idea, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the general ambience is very pleasant.

  I had a very nice first visit to the new Chermside library. Staff member was very helpful signing me up. Car parking security man was very nice helping me find a park and showing me where the lift was. There is a coffee shop inside and lots of comfy seats. Not sure yet how I rate the book selection as I arrived quite late on Sunday afternoon and did not have enough time to browse. But first impression was good

  The Quiet Space is large and has both desks and lounge type seating for study

  Quite place, nice coffee, but curtain was broken. And whole library can hear Children Book reading time.

  The collection is extensive and relatively new and they have more than one copy of popular fiction

  While the library is very spacious and well stocked with fiction, magazines, dvds, etc, I was very disappointed in the non-fiction section. I had a quick look in the travel section for a Spain guide book and there was not a single book on Spain. Most other European countries were served little better. The ancient history section was also very slender.

  The three private meeting rooms are handy for students or business meetings

  It's on the Western side and could be hot in summer but they do have automatically lowering blinds to help reduce glare
