I'm writing this review using my personal Google account, but the review is based on experienced gained from multiple bookings over a 7-8 year period by my church. The Chermside Apartments used to be run by a lovely family. My church have put up many guest speakers there over a decade, and have given them probably over $40,000 in business.

Sorry - you have lost our business. With the Quest and airbnb on the rise, and dropping standards, I'm certain these new managers will run The Chermside Apartments to the ground without understanding what happened.

Summary - I wished I could give zero stars. Please... save your money and go next door to the Quest Chermside.

Worse bed we have ever slept on!!! You can't swing a cat in the room, only one bedside table and no chair or anything to put your bags on except the floor. Paid for 2 nights but since neither of us could walk from spending a very itchy uncomfortably night in that bed, we had to forfeit and find a comfortable motel. When we spoke to management, they just said "oh those rooms are for single people" but did they tell us that...no and why are there 2 towels and two of everything else in the room?

The appartments were good. I would advise if booking/transfer to double check reservation contract as we were charged a fee that we had not been made aware of, even after confirming amount with the receptionist.

Instead of being sympathetic and offering a weekly rate, we were invoiced at a daily rate - $6725 for 23 nights stay. All negotiation was met with a rude and condescending manner.

Compare this to the Quest Chermside who willingly offered us good rates. We booked another 2 regular guests there at the Quest, and their feedback was the Quest offered a superior product at a cheaper rate.

My mates and I stayed at Chermside Apartments while visiting Brisbane (from Newcastle) to celebrate a mate getting married. There were 17 of us staying on Level 1, and we had the floor to ourselves, staying there for 2 nights (Friday and Saturday). The first thing we noticed about the rooms was how nice and modern they were. They didn't look like the dated stylings usually found in a set of apartments and they also has a heap of space. The first level was a great setup with larger balconies than the higher levels, which were already very spacious. There was plenty of room for us all. Each room also had its own laundry facilities in the bathroom (again, with plenty of space) for privacy and convenience. Level 1 is also where the free continental breakfast was every morning between 7am and 9am. There was a selection of cereals and spreads with code and tea. Nothing exotic, but very convenient and free, so no complaints. Level 1 also had the swimming pool on a balcony with a great angle to catch the afternoon sun. The location is very convenient also, with McDonalds a 2 minute walk, and Westfield a minute more for anything you might need while in town. The manager and staff were all extremely friendly, and were a pleasure to deal with. Everyone in my group noticed how clean the rooms were after house-keeping had come through. The lady preparing breakfast each morning was pleasant to talk to. On departure, I noted that if I ever needed to stay nearby again, I would like to come back, and would recommend it to others without hesitation.

The new managers are just rude and do not understand hospitality. We recently had a family staying there in a 2 bedroom apartment who experienced trauma and needed much medical attention. When help was clearly needed with luggage and bags of groceries, staff just stood behind the counter and didn't lift a finger.

Nicely furnished apartments, good for a few nights, friendly staff close to shopping centre and a sweet Ferrari in the lobby.
